Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an innovative Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to join our team. This individual will leverage their expertise in Power BI, Python, and SQL to design, develop, and optimize data solutions, enabling critical insights for decision-making. The ideal candidate will also drive process improvements, champion best practices in BI and data engineering, and contribute to scaling our data infrastructure.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to deliver actionable insights.
  • Create and optimize SQL queries for complex data analysis and reporting tasks.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable BI solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across all BI solutions.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts for BI tools, databases, and systems to resolve data issues efficiently.
  • Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on BI best practices and technical challenges.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing BI processes and tools.
  • Partner with DevOps and cloud teams to ensure secure, high-performing, and scalable data environments.


Ideal Skills:

  • Extensive experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and embedded analytics.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL for querying, data modeling, and performance tuning.
  • Understanding of modern data architecture concepts, including data lakes, data warehousing, and real-time streaming.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex data challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to handle high-pressure, time-sensitive projects with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with data governance and compliance standards.
  • 5 years of experience in BI development, data engineering, or a related field.


Bonus Skills:

  • Develop ETL pipelines and workflows to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into a centralized data warehouse.
  • Build automation scripts using Python to streamline data transformation and reporting processes.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure) and database technologies such as SQL Server or Snowflake.
  • Proficiency with GitHub for version control and collaboration on BI-related projects.

                 

Location:

This position will be based in Ft Worth, Texas and will operate in an In-Office capacity. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
