AS400/iSeries Computer Operator
Job Summary: Responsible for support of the AS400/iSeries computer systems, and related peripherals to achieve and maintain a high level of service to all users. Perform various tasks.
Job Duties:
- Support and maintain AS400/iSeries computer systems and related equipment; monitor processes and jobs, monitor and respond to console messages, backup monitoring and scheduling, basic SAP and AS400 user administration, tape management, install and remove forms from printers, and minor printer maintenance.
- Process daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly jobs as scheduled.
- Prepare and distribute hard and soft copy documents.
- Maintain documentation for ERP support procedures and document distribution.
- Provide complete vacation, optional, and sick coverage for other computer operations support staff.
- First level end user support for SAP and AS400.
- Maintain computer supplies inventory.
- Assist application developers when needed.
- Perform related duties as required, other duties as assigned.
Accountabilities:
- Provide effective and courteous service to all system users in
the company.
Job Specifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent some college preferred.
- AS400/iSeries computer operations experience.
- Detail oriented.
- PC experience.
- Knowledge of ERP/SAP software is a plus.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Some overtime required.
