Job Overview

We seeking a Construction Cost Estimator II to support one of our largest energy accounts in Houston, TX. This role involves:

• Developing cost estimates for multiple projects
• Collaborating with stakeholders
• Ensuring financial accuracy in construction planning

Key Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual cost estimates using preliminary design documents and historical data
• Review contractor change proposals, material substitutions, and value engineering solutions
• Maintain a cost database to support future planning
• Assist in preparing bid packages and reviewing contractor bids
• Work closely with stakeholders, architects, engineers, and local jurisdictions to align project goals
• Lead or coordinate construction projects, including renovations, new builds, and infrastructure improvements

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Five or more years of management experience
• Three or more years of supervisory experience in construction
• Experience with cost estimation for new construction, renovations, and infrastructure
• Proficiency in RS Means
• Strong MS Office skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Writer, and Visio

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Knowledge of Procore, Smartsheet, and MS Project
