Senior UX Designer / Datalign

Datalign is looking for an exceptional Senior User Experience Designer to shape the future of financial advisory through our cutting-edge AI-powered platform. In this role, you will lead the research, design, innovation, prototyping, and testing of new digital experiences that redefine how individuals seek advisory services to manage their wealth.

You’ll play a key role in designing intuitive, impactful solutions that leverage AI to provide unparalleled insights and experiences—setting a new standard for the financial services industry. This role offers the opportunity to impact every stage of the product development lifecycle and is a high impact IC role reporting to the Chief Design Officer.

Role is located in Boston and the candidate is expected to work in-office four days per week.

What you will do

• Research and define UX strategy, contribute to the overall product and design direction from a concept to implementation
• Develop creative and innovative design solutions for product education and purchase experiences that help guide various types of customers from different backgrounds and with different requirements
• Constantly measure how designs are performing for target customers; iterate and improve those experiences as needed
• Work in a highly collaborative fashion with engineers and other partners; invest in building relationships and trust with stakeholders
• Present work to partners, stakeholders and senior leaders regularly
• Advocate for consistency across team members and partners
  
  

What you’ll bring:

• BA/BS degree in graphic design, design communication, human-computer interaction, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience participating in the complete product development lifecycle of web and/or software applications
• 8 years of experience in user experience design or industry experience (corporate, software, web or agency)
• An excellent portfolio showcasing user experience, visual design and UI work with a strong design sensibility and excellent, user centric storytelling
• Excellent visual, UI, and interaction skills, ability to think through complex interaction design
• Customer-focused, with experience using design research methods to uncover customer insights
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated, able to work independently but also collaborative and driven by group critique
