DataSoft Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Technical Spcialist (LAN) to join our client in Raleigh, NC. We need a contractor to provide Tier 2 support of wide area network systems, including Metro Ethernet, L3 routing, MPLS, QOS, & L2 switching.
Qualifications:
- Implement new releases of service components into the operational environment following well-defined controlled processes of change, configuration and release management
- Maintain accurate information on all IT assets and configurations within the service
- Coordinate deployment and implementation projects of wide area networks for state agencies and institutions that require connectivity to the North Carolina Information Network
- Develop provisioning, configuration and deployment plans and coordinate with agencies before and during the implementation of the plans
- Ensure equipment availability and correct configuration, and general oversight of the entire project
- Consult with service delivery staff to fulfill service requests that include provisioning of data locations
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in configuration of VLANs
- Experience with all Cisco routers and switches,
- Knowledge and/or experience with WLAN
- Switch configuration that includes: IP routing, VLAN configurations, interface configuration
- Test and turn up for new switches to ensure access points and phones work along with data networks.

- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in configuration of VLANs
