Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory levels, ensuring accuracy in stock counts, and optimizing inventory processes. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency of our warehouse operations and supporting overall supply chain management.

Duties

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Utilize inventory management software, such as SAP, to track inventory movements and maintain accurate records.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast needs, and implement improvements.
  • Perform root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies and develop corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to facilitate efficient receiving, storage, and distribution of products.
  • Operate forklifts safely for the movement of heavy items within the warehouse.
  • Generate reports using software tools to present inventory metrics to management.
  • Assist in the buying process by providing insights on stock levels and product turnover.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in inventory control or management within a warehouse environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform financial analysis related to inventory costs.
  • Familiarity with inventory control systems and software.
  • Ability to lift heavy items as required for stock handling tasks.
  • Proficient in using data visualization tools like SAP for reporting purposes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
