Electronic Access Control/Security System Technician

Overview

Datawatch Systems, Inc. is seeking an entry level technician to assist with upgrading our systems throughout the DC, MD, VA Metro region. We'll provide on-the-job-training.

Applicants must be able to work independently and on weekends, holidays, or extended hours if needed and be willing to travel to anywhere in the metropolitan region. Hours are Monday - Friday, 7 am - 3 pm.

Pay is $20/hour plus benefits and paid time off.  All applicants applying for a position at Datawatch Systems must be willing to submit to a  drug screening and criminal background check. EOE/M/F/V/D. DCJS #11-2294

Responsibilities

• Work with Lead Technician to replace alarm panels at customer sites
• Drive to customer site daily
• Run low-voltage cables
• Climb ladders and carry materials required to complete job
• Opportunity for over-time - might need to work some holidays, weekends or extended hours

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Detail-oriented and must have a willingness to learn.
• Ability to install low voltage cabling.
• Ability to climb ladders and lift 50 lbs
• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Prior work experience that required hands-on duties
• Use of a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
