DataX Connect is currently representing a Top 20 GC who are looking for an experienced Project Manager to help expand their Mission Critical business unit. This is a key hire working on a significant hyperscale data center in Nevada.

The company:

You will be joining a well-established general contractor who work on high-profile projects across Nevada, Kentucky, Georgia, Ohio and Arizona. They are a reputable firm who are offering the opportunity to spearhead business growth in their expanding Mission Critical team.

The position:

• Prepare and manage project schedule.
• Negotiate and execute change orders, subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Complete monthly project status reports, owner billings and financial risk assessments
• Identify and recommend value engineering and scope reduction opportunities
• Understand contract terms, budgets, insurances, bonds and change orders; ensure adherence including work progress being within scope.
• Leads the project team in preparing the project management plan (PMP).
• Organizes and conducts pre-award and pre-construction meetings.
• Manages project materials and equipment procurement within the project's budget
• Monitors the project site for cost, safety, quality, and schedule performance with the project superintendent.
• Evaluates the schedule as necessary to meet milestones and financial goals.

The person:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related field, or the equivalent education and experience (preferred)
• Minimum of four or more years project management experience within Data Center Construction.
• Ability to lead successful project delivery teams
• Has a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Has an in-depth knowledge of commercial construction processes
• Has a working knowledge of construction laws and practices
• Understands building codes and other design requirements to the extent
