The Hospice Scheduler/Receptionist at Emunah Hospice plays a crucial role in coordinating patient care by managing clinician schedules, maintaining clinical calendars, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This full-time position supports the clinical team and involves various administrative tasks to enhance patient care and communication with community partners.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates daily patient activities with clinicians.
- Maintains patient confidentiality and protects operations by monitoring confidential information.
- Ensures compliance with all state, federal, and ACHC regulatory requirements.
- Maintains positive working relationships with patients, families, clinical staff, and community partners.
- Assists in coordinating care with community partners including preparing plan of care update documents, communicating scheduled care conferences, and faxing physician orders as needed.
- Provides back-up office assistance including answering phones promptly and efficiently.
- Responds to messages appropriately and disseminates information to the appropriate persons.
- Participates in patient survey activities, documents findings, and notifies appropriate supervisor of any dissatisfied customers.
Requirements
- At least two (2) years related experience, hospice scheduling preferred.
- Proficient on all Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with Matrix EMR preferred.
- Demonstrates ability to maintain performance under a fast-paced, heavy work environment.
- Ability to deal tactfully with customers, clinical staff, and the community.
