Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in line dance and possess the ability to inspire and educate students of all ages. The Dance Instructor will be responsible for developing lesson plans and delivering engaging line dance classes that cater to various skill levels.
Duties
- Design and implement comprehensive dance lesson plans that align with the curriculum.
- Teach line dancing and other dance styles to students of different ages and skill levels.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
- Organize and participate in dance recitals, performances, or competitions as needed.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to create a cohesive educational experience.
- Maintain a safe and clean studio environment for all students.
- Engage with parents or guardians regarding student progress and class activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a dance instructor or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ballet techniques; additional experience in other dance styles is a plus.
- Skills in lesson planning to create effective educational experiences for students.
- Background in childhood development or early childhood education is advantageous.
- Ability to work well with children, demonstrating patience and understanding.
- Photography skills are beneficial for documenting classes or performances.
- Knowledge of special education practices is appreciated but not mandatory.
- Culinary skills may be useful for organizing themed events or workshops related to dance.
- Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 4 per week
