The Vendor Relations Manager is expected to carry out several important tasks which may include providing assistance with the vendor division in Cost Management.

Job Description
As a member of the Cost Management team your job will encompass different levels of responsibility that commands professionalism and confidentiality. The Vendor Relations Manager is expected to carry out several important tasks which may include providing assistance with the vendor division in Cost Management.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Reports to Senior Director of Cost Management.
- Direct reports to Senior Estimating Coordinator, Associate Program Manager and Senior Estimator.
- Work with Business Development partners to schedule site visits, review and receive information needed to provide price to vendors.
- Review all budgets for programs done by Estimating Coordinator before delivering to vendor.
- Monitor all types of projects assigned to department to ensure deliverables to vendor are achieved in vendors required timeframe.
- Review and evaluate vendor information, surveys and plans to produce competitive price to insure award of projects.
- Review and qualify all bids received from Business Development partners.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of direct report staff.
- Meet with all potential vendors to review and vet interest in DAVACO partnering with company.
- Weekly meeting with direct staff to ensure no issues and resolve any issues with workload.
- Assign projects accordingly to Business Development partners insuring not to overload one partner.
- Manage trade partner through duration of project ensuring receipt of client required reporting, and documentation, and successful completion of projects.
- Review workload for each Business Development partner to ensure work distribution is in DAVACO’s best interest.
- Negotiate pricing with all trade partners before award.
- Ability to be self-directed.

- Strong written and verbal communication, including presentation skills.
- Communicate clearly, professionally, and proactively (both written and verbal) with teammates to ensure timely completion of duties.

- Motivated/Pro-active mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
- Five plus years of experience work with business stakeholders
- Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs.
- Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas to achieve a common business objective.
- Interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate, and enhance performance.
- Demonstrates decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions, and identifying priorities.
