POSITION SUMMARY :
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Vendor Relations Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and onboarding companies that provide bulk junk removal services. This role requires excellent research skills, strong communication abilities, and a keen eye for quality vendors to ensure our company partners with reliable and cost-effective service providers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Ability to communicate effectively via phone (90%) and email (10%) on a daily basis.
- Utilize various sourcing methods such as online databases, industry contacts, trade shows, and referrals.
- Evaluate vendor qualifications, including capabilities, capacity, pricing, and reliability.
- Initiate contact with prospective vendors to assess their interest and capability to partner with our company.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key vendor contacts to facilitate smooth communication and negotiation processes.
- Review and analyze vendor proposals and quotations to determine the best fit for our company’s needs.
- Coordinate and conduct vendor site visits as necessary to assess facilities and operational capabilities.
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with selected vendors to secure favorable agreements.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of all current and potential vendors, including performance metrics and contract details.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with contractual terms and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Address and resolve any issues or disputes that arise with vendors promptly and effectively.
- Work closely with internal departments, including operations, finance, and compliance, to ensure vendor selections meet all company requirements.
- Prepare regular reports on vendor sourcing activities, including status updates, performance metrics, and cost analyses.
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings to align vendor sourcing strategies with overall business objectives.
