JOB SUMMARY:
Must have previous quality assurance experience ! Must have experience using gauges and calibers! Must be able to train on days shift.
Training shift- 8am-4:30pm
Under limited supervision, performs quality-related activities. Maintains/Monitors the Work Station Documentation to ensure product/process compliance. Performs product monitoring through variable and attribute data collection. Performs process audits to monitor quality system control effectiveness through Process Checks, LPA’s, and Dock Audits. Active team player in problem-solving product and process issues, resolution as well as enforcing corrective action. May be required to support internal and/or external sorting activities as well as backfill for production when needed.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform in-process inspection, visual, and measurements, as required per the inspection sheet and/or Work Instructions
- Performs first/last piece inspection
- Performs visual part inspection, including a comparison to the last off
- Ensures proper label, skid and containers are being used per the Pack Instructions
- Responsible for the care and use of inspection equipment (gages to be kept clean and well organized)
- Assist in Gage R&R studies
- Responsible for SPC data input into MQ1, monitoring and notifying shift supervisor if any out-of-control conditions arise.
- Maintains visual sample boards
- Organizing and filing Inspection documents
- Initiate Quality Alerts for Operator Awareness of Quality issues
- Initiate Product Discrepancy Reports
- Product Containment and plant notification
- Participates in Layered Process Audits
- Perform Dock Audits
- Communicate with off-shifts through the Communication Binder
- Daily communication at Team meetings for product discrepancies
- Required overtime to fill in for other inspectors during absence or vacation
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned by the Quality Supervisor.
Job Qualifications:
- A minimum of HS Diploma required or Equivalent (GED)
- Quality Inspection Background
MINIMUM LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow direction
- Computer knowledge is a must
- Analytical skills
- Experience using metrology equipment preferred
- Problem-solving
- Must be a team player
- Must have a strong eye to distinguish color variation (gloss levels, hues, tones)
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
