Position Summary:
The Molding Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing all molding activities to ensure products are produced in a safe effective manner while maintaining quality and delivery requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee the Molding Department to ensure a clean safe work environment while maintaining established quality standards and procedures.
- Responsible for workforce scheduling and utilization.
- Responsible for keeping the Assembly Department supplied with molded parts.
- Recognizes and solves problems affecting production quality, and part availability.
- Communicates key metrics that drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Motivates and encourages workers to achieve maximum productivity.
- Plans and directs production activities and establishes priorities in keeping with effective and efficient operations.
- Leads daily and weekly Team Leader meetings addressing systemic issues and improvement plans, safety, quality, and delivery issues
- Leads continuous improvement activities.
- Schedules daily mold changes.
- Orders and manages molding supplies.
- Works together with Process Engineer to schedule tryouts.
- Works together with PCL Manager to schedule bank builds that satisfy engineering changes, mold maintenance, and machine maintenance.
- Works together with Tool Shop Manager scheduling both internal and external mold repair and mold maintenance.
- Supports the comprehensive, continuous improvement philosophy for all Matikon disciplines.
- Performs all job functions in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the direction, coordination, and evaluation of the molding department.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems within the molding department
Preferred Education & Skills:
- 8-10 years of supervisory experience in an Injection Molding facility
- 8-10 years of Injection Molding experience
- Injection mold/tooling knowledge
- Ability to make immediate decisions
- Communication skills
- Multitask oriented, organized
- Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office, and SAP
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
