Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to oversee and expand our presence across the Western United States.
This role involves managing a team of seven direct sales representatives within the specified territory, focusing on high-quality metal fabrication equipment, including punch and die tools, press brake tooling, and laser consumables.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sheet metal fabrication, proven leadership skills, and a deep technical understanding of metalworking equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of seven direct sales representatives, setting performance goals and providing ongoing support to achieve regional sales targets.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to exceed regional and corporate sales objectives, aligning with overall business goals.
- Gather and analyze market feedback to refine sales strategies, identify opportunities for growth, and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
- Work closely with sales representatives, offering technical expertise and best practices to enhance sales performance and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor key metrics, including customer acquisition, sales growth, and product segment performance, to ensure alignment with regional goals.
- Oversee daily sales operations, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations, to build a high-performing sales team.
- Work closely with sales management and other departments to align strategies and ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.
Requirements:
- Minimum of five years of sales and/or sales management experience in the sheet metal fabrication or related metalworking industries.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and leading successful sales teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to travel regionally as necessary (50% or more).
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM software; familiarity with CAD or programming software is a plus.
