Position Overview
Dave Arbogast Buick - GMC is seeking an experienced General Motors Fixed Operations Director to lead and optimize our Buick - GMC service and parts center operations. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence, enhance customer satisfaction, and maximize departmental profitability while maintaining GM's high standards of quality and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all fixed operations departments including service and parts operations across our Buick - GMC facilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Lead and mentor department managers while fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with GM's policies, procedures, and standards across all fixed operations
- Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and GM corporate representatives
- Drive implementation of new technologies and processes to enhance operational efficiency
- Optimize inventory management and parts distribution systems
- Develop and manage departmental budgets and financial forecasts
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through exceptional service delivery
Required Qualifications
- Automotive fixed operations experience preferred
- Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and profitability
- Strong understanding of automotive service and parts center operations
- Excellence in team leadership and development
- Advanced financial acumen and budget management skills
- Experience with DMS systems and automotive service technologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with General Motors products and systems
- ASE certifications
- Experience with electric vehicle service operations
