Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Recruiter to join our team. This position will specifically be focused on the recruitment and acquisition of skilled trade professionals (experienced/Journeyman level) within Plumbing, HVAC, Fire Protection, and Electrical. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing (through relationship building), connecting with, and hiring top skilled trade professionals to meet the needs of our organization and help us grow. This role requires a strong understanding of recruitment processes and the ability to effectively manage and develop relationships with candidates and hiring managers. The Recruiter will utilize various platforms, including social media and applicant tracking systems (ATS), along with consistent relationship building, to identify potential candidates and ensure a successful onboarding experience.
Position Description:
- Work with segment leadership to determine hiring/staffing needs. Identify required skill level, quantity to fill, location, and timing of when staffing is needed to develop creative and effective sourcing strategies.
- Proactively source and engage with potential candidates using various platforms, including job boards, social media, company website, technical colleges, community groups, trade groups, internal team members, and networking.
- Conduct market research to identify talent pools and understand industry trends relevant to skilled Plumbing, HVAC, Fire Protection, and Electrical roles.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings, ensuring a diverse candidate pool.
- Screen and qualify candidates for openings. Schedule and conduct all phone and in-person interviews. Follow appropriate laws and company policy regarding pre-employment paperwork, authorizations, and screenings.
- Extend job offers to candidates. Work with segment leadership to establish position, wage, benefit, and start date information. Create and present offer letters to selected candidates.
- Responsible for setting up new team members for onboarding process and scheduling new team members for orientation.
- Work with Workforce Specialist to identify career fairs and other community events within the communities we serve. Attend as a representative of the Company to recruit Skilled Trade Professionals.
- Work with the Marketing Manager to create effective marketing materials for recruitment. Company flyers, Referral Bonus information sheets, postcards, recruitment videos, etc. Tracking and reporting on sourcing metrics and candidate pipeline progress. Use data to constantly be developing and improving sourcing strategies.
Licensing and Experience:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a fast-paced skilled trades recruiting environment, or Knowledge or experience within a skilled trade (Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, or Fire Protection preferred) and experience in an office setting or willingness to learn.
Schedule:
