IT Technician Full Time $25/hr
Dave’s Computers is seeking a dedicated IT Technician with a minimum of 3 years of experience overall in computer repairs, software troubleshooting, and on-site support. This hybrid role involves spending part of the day in our Somerville office and the rest on-site at client locations, depending on daily or weekly needs. The ideal candidate will be comfortable adapting between in-office tasks and fieldwork, providing exceptional service to both residential and business clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- On-Site Technical Support: Visit client locations to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Client Communication: Discuss issues with clients to understand problem history, guide them through troubleshooting steps, and verify resolution.
- Problem Solving and Implementation: Test, troubleshoot, and implement fixes, offering clients multiple options for solutions like WiFi improvements, PC upgrades, and network enhancements.
- CRM Proficiency: Record detailed notes and updates in our CRM; experience with RepairShopr, NinjaRMM, Syncro, or Atera is a plus.
- Organization: Maintain a well-organized workspace and proactively manage tickets each day, demonstrating preparedness and independence.
- Demonstrate Proactiveness - Show initiative by actively researching and exploring solutions when faced with unfamiliar problems, using available resources to troubleshoot effectively and persistently until a resolution is found.
- Continuous Learning and Adaptability: Quickly learn new skills and apply them independently.
- Creative Problem-Solving: Think critically to offer clients more than one option for common tech challenges.
- Research and Planning: Research new solutions or products and share implementation plans with the supervisor.
Requirements:
- 3 years in IT support, including hardware repair, software troubleshooting, and on-site services.
- Experience traveling to and supporting client locations.
- Customer-focused with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with CRM software; RepairShopr, Syncro, or Atera experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to learn quickly, independently, and reliably.
