Dave's Tree Service is now hiring a Tree Care Crew Foreman

We are in search of a driven and skilled individual to join our team as a Tree Care Crew Foreman. In this role, you will have a significant impact on our team by working outdoors to preserve and enhance the health and appearance of trees on our clients' properties. The position offers year-round, full-time employment with abundant prospects for career growth, serving Moore County, NC. Workdays are consistently Monday through Friday, allowing for quality family time on weekends with no extensive travel required. Educational opportunities, including TCIA-sponsored events and online training, are provided. Compensation will be commensurate with your experience and qualifications. Additionally, employees become eligible for disability and life insurance as well as 7 paid holidays after a 90-day probationary period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Efficiently manage a crew daily, prioritizing safety throughout operations. Tasks include supervising, assigning, and actively participating in a range of tasks, some of which may involve risk, such as pruning, caring for, felling, and removing trees in rural, residential, and municipal areas.
• Maintain regular communication with sales and office staff.
• Foster a collaborative team environment to ensure exceptional customer service.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and maintenance logs, ensuring tools and equipment function optimally.
• Take ownership of crew availability and provide on-the-job training to less experienced climbers and lift operators.
• Perform tree rigging both in the canopy and from the ground, utilizing appropriate rope techniques.
• Operate various tree-related equipment, including aerial lifts, mini skid steers, grapple trucks, and loaders.

Requirements:

• Proficient in basic tree cutting methods, both in the tree and on the ground, as well as climbing. Thorough knowledge of proper pruning techniques (natural and directional pruning) is essential.
• Excellent physical fitness and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in diverse weather conditions.
• Self-motivated, with great attention to detail and a strong work ethic, taking pride in delivering high-quality work.
• Exceptional attention to detail, communication skills, and a steadfast commitment to safety protocols.
• Valid Driver license
