What you will do
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Construction Manager to join our Portland ME team. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of the construction retrofit projects and ensure they progress on schedule and within budget. The ideal candidate is an expert in building methods and has a proven track record of successful construction management projects.
How you will do it
- Manage the profitable execution of assigned projects.
- Understand project scope and customer expectation.
- Ensure business is conducted with the highest ethical standards .
- Maintain profitability goals and positive cash flow for assigned projects.
- Provide leadership by demonstrating focus on exceeding customers’ expectations.
- Develops and adheres to a Project Execution Plan for each assigned project.
- Schedule key deliverables and milestones and ensure progress is being made
- Plans, schedules, and controls project activities.
- Self-perform cost estimating and cost reviews of assigned projects.
- Ensure that assigned projects are done accurately, on-time , billed, within budget and within scope of the contract.
- Utilize resource planning techniques to gain high productivity from team members.
- Provide monthly reporting of Project financial status and participates in the Monthly Management Project reviews, as needed.
- Effectively communicate the status of assigned projects to the Management Team of revenue, costs, and gross margin .
- Establish customer touch points throughout the life cycle of projects to gain feedback on customer satisfaction.
- Fosters and maintains good working relationships with subcontractors and internal partners.
- Ensures compliance with provincial, local and federal legal requirements.
- Champions and drives the Company Safety Program for employees and subcontractors at all levels.
