Learning Opportunity:
Through this immersive AV, Video, and Studio Production Internship, you will support the company’s growing AV, studio, and event needs and gain practical experience in audio and video production, system integration, and event management. This learning opportunity will equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the ever-evolving field of multimedia technology.
Internship Description:
Set up and configure audiovisual equipment, including sound systems, projectors, screens, microphones, and lighting, to meet project/event requirements.
Conduct equipment testing and quality checks to ensure optimal performance, user experience, reliability, and scalability of the stream.
Troubleshoot, escalate, and/or resolve technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner, reporting equipment problems to appropriate parties for maintenance or repair.
Experience in optimizing remote recording setups to achieve the highest audio and video quality in remote sessions, ensuring seamless communication with hosts and guests.
Familiarity with video production techniques, camera operation, lighting, and composition to enhance the visual and sound quality of video recordings.
Provide logistical support in studio preparation and managing session workflows.
Operate audiovisual equipment during rehearsals, presentations, or live events, ensuring high-quality audio and visual output.
Assist in the development of best audio recording practices, with the ability to detect recording issues or audio flaws.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Displays a cheerful disposition in working on projects outside the typical workflow of this position. Effectively helps others in special projects.
Qualifications
Internship Requirements:
Formal Education:Enrolled in a higher education institution for music business, multimedia, or other related fields.
Experience: Some prior experience with sound boards, demonstrating familiarity with adjusting audio levels, manipulating EQ settings, and managing audio inputs and outputs. This experience will serve as a foundation for further development and refinement of sound engineering skills throughout the internship. Experience in music production, including a foundational knowledge of digital audio workstations and recording techniques.
SpecializedKnowledge/Certification: Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Video Conferencing and Streaming hardware and software, video and audio editing tools such as ProTools, Adobe Premier. Proficient with audio/video cabling, related hardware and best practices, including:recording/streaming devices, microphones and receivers, mixer boards, audio/video splitters or converters, and projectors.
Equipment Knowledge: General office equipment, PC and Mac computers, video and audio controllers and components. General knowledge of video conferencing and streaming technologies, protocols, and standards
Internship Working Conditions:
- Comfortable working conditions, handling light weight, intermittent sitting, standing and walking.
- Working environment cubicle office and co-working spaces with some noise.
- Detail-oriented work requiring mental acuity and accuracy.
- Normal business hours (between 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) are typical
