David E. Looper and Company has been in business for 29 years and provides quality construction services for commercial clientele. We are looking for an assistant project manager to support our project management team. APM responsibilities include coordination with preconstruction, issuance of RFI’s, processing submittals, meeting minutes, monitoring job schedules, change orders, and other construction related items. To be successful in this role, you should be well-organized, have great time management, be able to multitask, and have initiative to get work completed without constant guidance. We are looking for someone that wants to hone their management skills and continue into project management after several years.
Responsibilities
- Manage information flow in a timely and accurate manner
- Act as a point of contact for subs regarding submittals and RFIs
- Issue and monitor change orders for both Owners and subs
- Attend job meetings and assist with agendas/minutes
- Monitor and assist with updating job schedules
- Assist PM with necessary tasks to help expedite construction
Skills
- Work experience in construction or a related field
- Knowledge of Office 365 and SharePoint
- Knowledge of Procore or similar software
- Experience with video calls such as Teams, Zoom, Webex, etc
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Construction management degree or high school diploma preferred
