At David Lloyd Clubs we are enjoying a sustained period of growth which will see us open amazing new clubs in the UK and Europe.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Energy & Water Manager to join the Sustainability Team. You will be responsible for leading our energy and water reduction programmes which form a critical part of our overall carbon reduction strategy.
This is a hybrid role which will provide flexibility on where and how you work, but to do the role successfully, this will involve some travel to our UK and European clubs.
What are the key responsibilities of the role?
- Provide strategic guidance on energy management and sustainability initiatives to support operational teams
- Act as the primary subject matter expert for energy-related issues, offering insights and recommendations to reduce consumption and carbon footprint
- Keep abreast of new and innovative technologies which may support our carbon reduction strategy
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to promote energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives, while providing training and support to our team members on best practices.
- Manage external suppliers, partners and consultant relationships to ensure optimal value is achieved
- Lead the heat decarbonisation, renewable, and other energy and water efficiency projects required to deliver carbon savings across our estate
- Collaborate with facility and operational teams to track and improve energy performance metrics across all sites
- Identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement
- Develop dashboards and tools to provide actionable insights for decision-makers.
- Prepare reports on progress toward energy and sustainability goals for internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with carbon and energy legislation and voluntary schemes to maintain the good reputation of the company
