Ideal Candidate : We are seeking an empathetic, kind, highly self-motivated, and ambitious Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) for Dr. Amit Arunkumar. The ideal candidate is looking to grow their skill set and career alongside a quickly expanding, premiere facial plastic surgery practice in San Francisco. Ideally, the candidate has experience in high end sales; patient coordination experience within a medical or aesthetics practice is a plus. The onboarding will include comprehensive training during the orientation period.
Who are Dr. David Kim and Dr. Amit Arunkumar?
Dr. David W. Kim is the practice owner. He is an internationally acclaimed rhinoplasty surgeon, former Chief of Facial Plastic Surgery at UCSF, and member of the board of the directors of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and author of over 50 articles and chapters on rhinoplasty. A highly sought after speaker, Dr. Kim has led or served as faculty for numerous rhinoplasty courses internationally. He is known as the “expert’s expert”. He is considered one of the top rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty surgeons in the world.
Dr. Amit Arunkumar is Dr. Kim’s practice associate. He trained at the most elite programs in the country, including UCSF, Columbia, and the prestigious Park Avenue Facial Plastic Surgery Fellowship in New York City, in which he trained one-on-one with Dr. Andrew Jacono, world-renowned pioneer of the deep plane facelift. Dr. Arunkumar is widely published, and offers the highest level of expertise in facial rejuvenation surgery including deep plane face and neck lifts, eyelid and brow surgery, buccal fat reduction, and minimally invasive techniques.

Job Summary :
The Patient Care Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring a thoughtful, concierge experience for our cosmetic surgery patients. This position is responsible for guiding patients through their aesthetic journey, from initial consultation to post-treatment care. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, extremely organized, kind and patient, and experienced in client-facing or patient-facing roles. It is NOT necessary to have experience in a medical practice – rather we are looking for an individual with the work ethic, client facing personality and empathy, hunger for learning, and ambition to grow their career alongside a rapidly expanding practice with limitless potential.
Key Job Responsibilities
- You will be working alongside Dr. Arunkumar, providing support for his growing facial rejuvenation practice. This includes a focus on Deep Plane Face and Necklift surgery, eyelid and brow surgery, buccal fat reduction, and facial fat transfer, minimally invasive endoscopic techniques, laser resurfacing, among many others.
- Serve as the primary contact for new and returning facial aesthetic patients, ensuring a welcoming environment and exceptional customer service.
- Manage patient inquiries, schedule consultations, and assist with pre- and post-operative appointments.
- Provide detailed information about surgical procedures, answer patient questions, and address concerns. Assist with patient intake, medical history documentation, and consent forms.
- Creative Opportunities include involvement with marketing initiatives, practice growth and partnerships, social media initiatives and strategies to continue practice growth.
- Guide patients through the consultation process, including reviewing quotes, financing options, and coordinating surgical scheduling.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage scheduling in practice management software.
