Job Description
David Weekley Homes is seeking a talented and creative Design Center Consultant to join our team in Nashville, TN. The Design Center Consultant will work directly with buyers to understand their design preferences and guide them in selecting products that align with their vision. This position requires a strong knowledge in design trends, customer service skills, and the ability to create an exceptional experience for buyers throughout their design journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Consultation: Meet with clients to understand their design goals, preferences, and budget. Provide expert advice on design options and product selections, including flooring, cabinetry, countertops, lighting, and other home finishes.
- Product Knowledge: Stay up to date with the latest design trends and product offerings to educate clients on available choices. Offer professional guidance to help clients make informed decisions.
- Customer Service: Build strong relationships with clients and ensure an excellent customer experience from start to finish. Address client questions or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Sales Support: Support the sales process by promoting the design center’s products and services, driving sales through consultations, and upselling when appropriate.
- Follow-up: Ensure clients are satisfied with their selections and provide post-consultation support as needed.
- Additional tasks as needed including scheduling appointments with home buyers, answering phones, filing, organizing, and interacting with both internal and external customers.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of design principles, trends, and materials.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, Excel).
- Experience in interior design, home improvement, or a related field preferred.
- Detail-oriented, self-disciplined and organized with excellent follow-up.
