Job Description
Accounting Assistant is responsible for processing cash receipts, processing journal entries, auditing college expense reports, assisting with accounts payable processes and performing monthly account reconciliations.
Duties : Cash Receipts :
- Upload weekly miscellaneous cash receipts received from campus departments. Maintain all-access Google sheet used for collecting coding.
- Process enrollment deposits for incoming students.
- Process student tuition payments
- Process customer payments
Accounts Payable :
Journal Entries :
Expense Reports :
Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to :
Requirements :
Associate's degree; Minimum of five years of Accounting / Bookkeeping experience. Bachelor's degree is preferred. Experience with processing a high volume of transactions, reconciling accounts, and basic accounting knowledge. Proficiency in banking software, Microsoft Excel, and an administrative software system like Banner or Oracle. Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to provide great customer service to a variety of customers. Strong attention to detail.
