Davidson is seeking an IT Specialist in Huntsville, AL.
The IT Specialist position is a fulltime position. The individual will be responsible for providing day to day support of a multiple OS environments and cloud infrastructures, including servers, desktops, laptops, and various client applications. This position requires the ability to support, plan and maintain complex environments including implementation and support. This position will report to the Vice President of Information Technology and Cybersecurity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day operation of end user devices and workstations, including hardware/software support, training, and special projects ensuring compliance with corporate and customer policies and procedures.
- Assists in troubleshooting application and server issues for the corporate premise and cloud environments
- Support and perform the following Active Directory administrative tasks
- Monitors usage to ensure security of data and access privileges.
- Establishes and maintains accounts, access control security protocols within O365 cloud environments
- Perform daily server backups, system maintenance, and evaluation of the backup and recovery plan.
- Monitor system performance and alerting using native VMware tool sets
- Keeps current on new technologies for enhancements to both virtual and cloud environments
- Develop and maintain a monthly system and application patch schedule
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or other related technical discipline (will consider experience in lieu of education)
- Security Certification
- Minimum of 3 years related experience in Information Technology or System/Network Administration
- Must be able to effectively interface with customers (internal and external) from lower level to executive level employees
- Must be able to work independently and with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- The successful candidate must have demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment while managing other employees
- Must be able to plan and organize time to work productively and efficiently while being able to adjust to multiple demand

Must be able to obtain Secret DoD Clearance
