Job Description

Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions of the organization, ensuring high-quality patient care, financial stability, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Collaborates with the executive leadership team to develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with the organization's mission, vision, and goals.

  • Collaborate with CEO in driving organizational vision, operations strategy, and hiring levels.
  • Translates strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning
  • Guides and directs management in the development and promotion of new and existing hospital services.
  • Ensures that all organization activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state and federal regulations, JCAHO standards and laws governing healthcare operations.
  • Analyze internal operations and identify areas for process enhancement
  • Implement business strategies and plans that align with the short- and long-term objectives developed in tandem with CEO.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to manage budgets, optimize revenue cycles, and control operational costs.
  • Lead efforts to enhance risk management, patient outcomes, and adherence to best practices in healthcare delivery.
  • Work with clinical leadership to improve patient safety, quality of care, and operational workflows.
  • Identify and adopt innovative practices that enhance operational efficiency and patient experience.
  • Maintains effective relationship with medical staff and clinical providers.
  • Serves as liaison between Board of Directors, executive leadership, management, stakeholders, financial institutions, and regulatory agencies.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities to department heads and key staff members.
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business or related clinical field required; Master’s degree Healthcare Administration, Business, Leadership or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive management / leadership experience required. Experience in hospital or health system, preferred.
  • Ability to effectively present written and verbal information to executive leaders, medical staff, public groups and Governing Body.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent financial and business acumen.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance.
  • Proven track record of driving operational improvements and efficiencies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, as well as occasional light lifting, bending, and reaching.
  • Strong visual acuity and hearing are necessary for reading reports, analyzing data, attending meetings, and communicating effectively with staff, stakeholders, and patients.
  • The role also demands the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, manage multiple priorities, and respond quickly to operational challenges.
