What are the responsibilities and job description for the DSP (Direct Support Professional) Weekend Availability Needed (Weekend 12r Shifts)! position at DAVIS CARE SERVICES, INC.?
We are a high level Adult Residential Care Facility that provides support for Adults with Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with daily living skill development and activities including personal care needs for all our residents.
- Possible 1:1 assignment and work schedule may vary based on needs.
- Implement each clients care plan as outlined in the resident’s Individualized Program Plan (IPP). Which may include but is not limited to supervision and/or assistance of cooking activities, shopping, laundry, verbal intervention/ behavioral management, School or class enrollment, reading, showering, feeding, dressing, and toileting as indicated by the participant’s IPP.
- Attend continued job training and implement appropriate training techniques on the job including but not limited to CPI (Verbal Intervention and Physical Restraint), CPR, and other industry specific CEU trainings.
- Actively assist residents with their behavioral development by executing individual behavioral intervention plans, doctors orders, and personal client program goals.
- Assisting residents with their daily medications as directed clients Physician, Psychiatrist, and other Healthcare Team. Provides
- Provide accurate documentation such as daily notes, medication administration records (MAR), behavior tracking (Behavioral Log Book).
- Transport and supervise residents on community outings, medical appointments, and other activities based on the individuals in our care needs.
- - Safeguard and track residents personal funds/spending thru receipts.
- Handle and document spending of petty cash.
- Manage behaviors thru building health rapport with clients and utilization of standard intervention techniques and protocol.- Night Shift is awake position.
- Staff may be required to work with certain residents on a 1:1 basis as well if this level of care is required to assure residents/staff safety.

Experience:
- DSP Experience (Preferred)
- Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)
- Residential Care: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
Shift availability:
- Weekend Shift Availabilty Preferred
- Weekend AM and PM Shift availability preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.50 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
