This position performs front facing customer service and routine clerical work at the animal shelter. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication and organizational skills and works well under pressure. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and maintains a relentless pursuit of mastering new skills. The ideal candidate has the ability to maintain positive interactions and a professional composure, even under difficult circumstances.
Pay Range & Benefits:
$17.56 - $22.31/hr, salary based on qualifications and directly related experience.

Requirements
This is an entry level position. High school graduation or equivalent.
Preference for 2 years of direct customer service work experience within the last 4 years.
Preference for bilingual in English/Spanish with customer service work experience.
Day to Day Duties
- Performs receptionist duties including greeting visitors to the animal shelter.
- Answers phone calls and handles any question and directs callers to the appropriate staff member.
- Provides information and resolves complaints from the public.
- Performs routine clerical work including file searching, filing documents, sorting and distributing mail, answering telephones, relaying messages, and receiving and distributing supplies.
- Fills in data on forms; reviews reports and forms for accuracy and completeness.
- Enters and updates information in the shelter database.
- Receives fees and handles money; posts information to various records.
- Operates computer terminal, multiple-line telephone system, point-of-sale machine, and other similar types of equipment.
