What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food and Beverage Director position at Davis Farmland?
GENERAL DUTIES: The Food Service Director of the growing, multifaceted, Davis Family Farm Adventures entertainment business is responsible for daily F&B planning and overall operational success. This person must have creative, entrepreneurial skills and be adept at running multiple venues including Davis BBQ restaurant, cafés, caterings, special events, Davis Mega Farm Festivals, and have an eye for expansion.
This leadership, management role, includes ensuring exceptional quality of product, guest service, training, inventory control, cost management, and other various duties assigned by the owners. This person must be passionate about people, hospitality, and food. This is not a desk job – while office work is required, it’s largely constant managing by walking around, training & inspecting. Work schedule includes weekends and holidays.
SPECIFIC DUTIES: Manage and maintain qualified teams using proper personnel procedures for hiring, training, scheduling and management of all employees to comply with the budgeted payroll plans amongst multiple venues. Must demonstrate and oversee the delivery of excellent products and guest services. Equally adept at managing and operating FOH & BOH is a must with the creativity to formulate menus and new taste experiences.
Must manage and maintain the annual operating budgets. Ensure strict control of cash generated by the store, including audits of all cash sources on a regular basis. Maintain exceptional standards and cleanliness of all buildings, parking areas, and landscaping associated with the store. Maintain internal inventory systems properly balancing desired inventory levels with a fully stocked store and a minimum number of shortages. Execute and support all marketing initiatives. Monitor the compliance of all programs and procedures. Perform all other duties assigned by the owners.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS Excellent in Employee and Customer Relations skills. Proven Management experience. General knowledge of computer and connectivity systems. Extremely adept at FOH & BOH positions.
