The Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. is seeking to hire a Powerline General Foreman in the Corpus Cristi, Texas area.
For over seven decades investor-owned utilities, municipalities, cooperatives, and others have entrusted their electrical construction and maintenance needs to Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. (Elliot).
Elliot is a full-service electrical contractor specializing in overhead and underground distribution, transmission, substations, lighting, traffic signaling, utility locating and industrial/commercial services.
Job Description
The primary responsibility of the General Foreman is to lead and assure safety, quality and productivity of Foremen and crews.
- Supervise and plan all energized & de-energized work assigned to Foremen and crews.
- Supervise the work of all Foremen and crews.
- Maintain the proper care of assigned Company equipment and tools.
- Assume the responsibility for Foremen and crews.
- Observe & assist with enforcement of Company safety rules.
- Perform safety audits on crews.
- Coordinate labor and skills of employees & equipment to job needs.
- Maintain & motivate a positive Company image to Customers and Employees.
- Perform other duties as directed or required.
Qualifications
- Journeyman Classification
- 3 Years of experience in General Foreman role
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Valid Class A CDL and medical card preferred
- Proficiency with electrical distribution systems
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
