Performs a variety of analytical and technical tasks relating to installation, implementation, operation, and maintenance of in-house computer services and systems. Performs as an Information Technology (IT) team member and works within team structure to promote quality IT Department and College services to customers/partners while achieving respective goals, objectives, and mission. Performs a variety of technical duties related to implementation and maintenance of in-house computer services, systems and equipment.
- Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor and troubleshoot end user workstation hardware/software, peripherals and networked products.
- Receive and respond to phone calls and/or emails regarding PC and/or hardware problems and maintain call support list.
- Create and maintains computer images. Images new and re-purposed computers
- Assist in inventory control, inventory identification, and surplus of excess equipment.
- Perform other related duties as required.
SHARED IT RESPONSIBILITES:
1. Performs as an Information Technology (IT) team members and works within team structure to promote quality IT Department and College services to customers/partners while achieving respective goals, objectives, and mission.
2. Assists users to understand software applications, orients, and trains users in software applications.
3. Supports faculty and staff with IT related issues and focuses on developing highly interactive relationships through customer service skills.Performs a variety of analytical and technical tasks relating to installation, implementation, operation, and maintenance of in-house computer services and systems. Performs as an Information Technology (IT) team member and works within team structure to promote quality IT Department and College services to customers/partners while achieving respective goals, objectives, and mission. - High School Diploma or equivalent.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certification from a Technical College.
- Two (2) years of PC/LAN experience.
- Basic understanding of PC architecture and operation of both hardware and software.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to develop effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, students, and the public.
- Ability to work independently and manage work assignments in a high interpersonal contact environment.
- Ability to deal effectively with stress caused by work load and time deadlines
