Qualifications and responsibilities for this Project Estimator position include :
- 3-5 years of estimating experience in underground utilities and concrete
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (preferred)
- Strong technical knowledge and ability to perform complex calculations
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; Familiarity with Bluebeam and other construction software
- Experience with roadways, sidewalks, parking lots, and other civil projects
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced office environment
- Spanish language skills (a plus)
- Analyze blueprints, proposals, and specifications to prepare project estimates
- Prepare cost estimates using Excel spreadsheets and vendor quotes
- Work closely with the Project Manager to complete bid proposals
- Attend meetings with key project stakeholders to review plans and progress
- Gather quotes from vendors and subcontractors for material and equipment rentals
- Assist in developing construction schedules and financial documents
- Maintain communication with clients and project teams to ensure timely project delivery
- Perform site visits (10% of role)
Salary : $77,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits : This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including medical insurance after 90 days (80% coverage for employees, 20% for families), 3 sick days per year, 1 week of vacation after 1 year, 2 weeks after 3 years, and discretionary annual bonuses.
