Job Purpose and Overview

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for directing and coordinating activities of Team Member's engaged in distribution center services in a cost-effective manner.

What will you do as an Operations Supervisor at Dawn Foods?

Supervises the activities of the distribution center including directing, advising, and managing team members to ensure strong performance.

Establishes performance expectations, monitors against expectations, and provides necessary feedback to team members to enhance their growth in position and promotional opportunities.

Participates in hiring, promotion, discipline, and / or discharge decisions of team members within the scope of responsibility.

Collaborates with Human Resources on hiring rates, adjustments to team member rates of pay / position status, and necessary disciplinary action to ensure adherence to company policy.

Ensuring team member safety by promoting safe work practices, monitoring compliance with Dawn Foods policies and IFS standards

Comply and enforce federal, state, local, laws, policies, and regulations.

Addresses team member and customer complaints by conducting a thorough investigation, completing required documentation, and providing a timely resolution in collaboration with cross functional teams.

Responsible for driver and vehicle compliance

Other duties as assigned.

Demonstrate the "Dawn Values" and support the Circle of Excellence.

What Does It Take to be an Operations Supervisor at Dawn Foods?

Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.

Bachelor's degree, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED and four (4) years of relevant work experience required.

Minimum two years of warehouse management experience.

Transportation management experience preferred.

Must possess good verbal and written communications skills.

Must be able to problem solve and resolve conflict.

Must have a working knowledge of MS Office Suite and WMS required.

SAP experience is preferred.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Required to use motor coordination with arm, hand, finger, and leg dexterity.

Required to exert physical effort in handling objects more than 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.

Ability to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Ability to withstand cool and / or cold temperatures.

Normal setting for this job is warehouse / office.

Will be exposed to a physical environment, which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements most of the workday.
