ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Barback to join the team! As the barback, you will assist our bartenders and ensure our bar operates smoothly. As a Barback, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the bar, ensuring that supplies are stocked, and assisting with the preparation of drinks. The Barback plays a crucial role in the guest satisfaction.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain the bar area, including washing glassware, wiping down surfaces, and disposing of trash
- Restock the bar with supplies, such as liquor, ice, garnishes, and napkins
- Assist bartenders with the preparation of drinks, including pouring beer and wine, mixing cocktails, and making shots
- Clear empty glasses and bottles from tables and the bar area
- Help set up and break down the bar before and after shifts
- Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy items, such as cases of liquor and kegs.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, lift, speak, hear, grab, and reach to perform various tasks.
- Must be able to perform any duties assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience as a Barback or in a similar role is preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of basic drink recipes and mixology techniques is a plus.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
