Roads Operator III

This position is responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment to construct and maintain county roads and drainage systems, and for the Transfer Station.

Applicant must be at least 18 years of age, have ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations; high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Applicant must have sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had similar position for one to two years. Applicant must have a minimum of 2-4 years motor grading experience and be able to obtain a Flagger’s certification within 6 months of hire. Applicant must have possession of a Class A Commercial Driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Applicant must be able to pass a Background Check and Drug Screen.
