Job Overview:
Position will be responsible for processing union fringe benefit payments, resolving discrepancies, setting up pay and fringe rates in our accounting system, and performing other essential accounting duties as required. This position will work closely with both internal teams and union representatives to ensure accurate and timely financial processing.
Key Responsibilities:
Bachelor’s degree in related field of study or 5 years of related work experience in finance, union, or construction environment. ?
In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $22,000- $95,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of union fringes).

- Process union fringe benefit payments in a timely and accurate manner.
- Resolve discrepancies in fringe benefit payments by investigating and reconciling any variances.
- Set up and maintain pay rates and fringe benefit rates in the company’s accounting system.
- Review and verify employee hours, pay rates, and benefits to ensure compliance with union contracts.
- Prepare and generate reports related to union fringe benefits and payroll.
- Assist with month-end and year-end accounting procedures, ensuring proper reporting and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of union benefit payments, deductions, and adjustments.
- Work with payroll and HR teams to ensure seamless integration of fringe benefit data.
- Respond to inquiries from employees, union representatives, or management regarding benefit payments and discrepancies.
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation as needed.
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned by management.
- Proven experience in accounting, payroll, or benefits administration.
- Familiarity with union contracts, fringe benefit programs, and payroll systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex data.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Experience with union fringe benefit payments or working with collective bargaining agreements.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and payroll compliance regulations.
