We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Punch Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC punch press machines to produce precise sheet metal parts and components according to blueprints and specifications. Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC punch press machines to cut, punch, and form metal parts based on technical drawings and job orders.
- Load and unload materials into the machine and ensure proper alignment for accurate punching.
- Monitor machine operations, make adjustments as needed, and troubleshoot issues to maintain production efficiency.
- Perform regular inspections and quality checks on finished parts to ensure they meet dimensional and quality standards.
- Maintain machine by performing routine maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating, to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper handling of materials and tools.
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and inspection results.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines.
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating CNC punch press machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in producing parts according to specifications.
- Basic understanding of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools and measurement instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training or certification is a plus.
