This role is full-time, requires a hybrid work schedule, and is available only in New York City.

Responsibilities

The Director, AI Transformation & Implementation is a critical role to develop and drive Day One Agency's AI deployment strategy across the agency's internal business operations and client services delivery. The ideal candidate is a proven individual contributor with technology and risk management expertise, who understands business objectives and scope to help deliver the expected results of AI platforms. The successful candidate will lead the organization through change by spearheading the development of an AI strategy and ensuring AI projects align with and deliver tangible value to the company's strategic goals. This role champions a holistic approach by collaborating closely with creative, story, and business teams to align AI goals with overarching organizational objectives. By enabling teams to seamlessly integrate AI technologies across departments, this role fosters innovation and efficiency, ensuring a unified and strategic deployment of AI capabilities to drive impactful outcomes. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Dedicated focus on AI platform integration at the enterprise level. Manage and deploy AI solutions portfolio agency-wide in collaboration with IT, dynamically accounting for necessary updates or changes.

  • Evaluate adoption of new and existing AI technology from a business risk standpoint.

  • Proactively searching for new developments in the evolving AI solutions landscape and how this integrates with trends in culture, consumer insights, and technology.

  • Align teams with AI adoption in a structured and focused manner, prioritizing client service delivery and streamlining AI solution use in internal business operations.

  • Keep a finger on the pulse of AI technology evolution in a business use context and evaluate new trends and patterns in AI adoption. Drive adoption of AI solutions directly tied to how clients and other agencies use them.

  • Serve as a cross-functional pivot point among agency teams, and interface with clients with respect to AI solutions and how data is used for client delivery.

  • Ensure governance processes are followed.

  • Identify the critical system components that require monitoring and escalation based on business risks.

  • Drive clarity and transparency across agency departments and the client services pipeline. Provide regular status updates, identify drivers of change, highlight blockers, and recommend and execute actions required to improve agency adoption of AI tools in our workflow.



Qualifications


  • 7 years relevant professional experience, or commensurate experience in AI implementation.

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Experience with enterprise deployment of AI platforms.

  • Consistently informed about industry-relevant AI trends, tools, and applications, with proficiency in generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, MidJourney, Runway, DALL·E, or similar platforms.

  • Demonstrated experience as an individual contributor with the ability to influence and affect change in business operations.

  • Experience leading change management initiatives in the technology space.

  • Excellent communication & presentation skills with the ability to prioritize, delegate, and present complex topics in a clear and concise manner.

  • Demonstrated experience with third-party risk management and understanding of business and legal risk related to enterprise deployment of new platforms.

  • Demonstrated technical skills and/or the ability to translate highly technical concepts to a general audience.

  • Demonstrated experience communicating with and presenting to senior business leaders/executive management.

  • Collaborative partner with a dedicated work ethic.

  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and passion for contributing to the creation of new systems, programs, and company culture.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the marketing/advertising industry or marketing/advertising functionality in a different business sector (i.e., understanding of client services requirements relevant to an agency model).

  • Experience with information security, IT operations, and/or IT portfolio management.

  • Experience using AI in developing innovative concepts, content creation, and campaign strategies.

  • Understanding of key operational risk management concepts and processes of mitigating risk in transformation initiatives.

  • Advanced post-graduate degree in a technology-related field or business administration.

The Company is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base compensation range for this role is $130,000 - $190,000 and this position is eligible for benefits that include medical insurance (health, dental, and vision), retirement plan, paid time off, paid parental leave, new business and employee referral bonuses, etc. Please note that the compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for New York City based hires only and is provided pursuant to the New York City Pay Transparency Law. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as candidates' relevant work experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

Salary : $130,000 - $190,000
