The firm is seeking an Energy Associate with 1–2 years of experience to join our growing team in Washington, D.C. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience in regulatory, enforcement and compliance, litigation, and/or transactional matters, primarily before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Experience in matters involving federally regulated power and/or gas markets is a plus.
In this role, the associate will work in Day Pitney’s nationally recognized Energy Practice on a variety of regulatory and transactional matters for a diverse set of clients to develop and implement innovative solutions to the complex challenges confronting the energy industry. Day Pitney offers a hybrid work schedule, combining three in-office days with two remote days each week, providing our attorneys with greater flexibility.
Job Requirements:
- 1-2 years of demonstrated energy law experience, with a focus on regulatory, contractual, and/or litigation matters, primarily before FERC
- Strong technical, drafting, professional and client service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and advocacy skills
- Team-oriented with an emphasis on collaboration
- Bar admission in good standing in Washington, D.C. (or pending admission)
