We’re looking for a full-time, staff Engineer, Continuous Improvement 2!
The Continuous Improvement Engineer 2 is responsible for analyzing and optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role leads data-driven initiatives to identify process bottlenecks, implement lean manufacturing principles, and drive sustainable improvements. The engineer collaborates cross-functionally to develop innovative solutions, enhance automation, and implement fault-proofing techniques. A strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and process validation is essential. This position plays a critical role in optimizing performance, increasing productivity, improving quality and ensuring sustainable business growth.

As the Engineer, Continuous Improvement 2, here’s the work you’ll do:
- Assist in analyzing and optimizing production and operational processes using Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Gather and analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement, conducting root cause analysis using problem-solving tools (e.g., 5-why, Fishbone Diagrams) to recommend corrective action.
- Assist in planning, executing, and monitoring continuous improvement projects under the direction of the Manager of Continuous Improvement.
- Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to implement improvement initiatives which providing basic training and support for employees on Lean tools and problem-solving techniques.
- Support efforts to improve process consistency, product quality, and compliance with internal and external standards.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or Business Required.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in process improvement, QC/QA; lean manufacturing, engineering.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement techniques to drive efficiency.
- Ability to analyze, process data, identify patterns, and recommend improvements using statistical and analytical tools.
- Experience with implementing process changes, conducting time studies, and using software such as Excel, Minitab, Python, Data Analytics tools, or Power BI (DAX) for analysis and visibility.
- Strong ability to work with cross-functional teams, present findings, and assist in training employees on process improvements.
- Understanding of production systems, operational workflows, and quality assurance to drive sustainable improvements.
- May require US government secret clearance.
- Great attitude and team player.
- Successful completion of background screening process.
