Responsibilities
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize costs and enhance efficiency.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers for windows, doors, trim, cabinets, fixtures, tile, and other building materials.
- Evaluate supplier performance and establish long-term relationships.
- Collaborate with project managers to understand material requirements and project timelines.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply without overstocking.
- Analyze market trends and conduct cost analyses to inform purchasing decisions.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and regulations.
Required Skills and Qualification
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, with at least 3 years in the construction field.
- In-depth knowledge of construction materials, including windows, doors, trim, cabinets, fixtures, tile, and general building materials.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in purchasing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient in construction management software (e.g., CoConstruct, Builderstrend)
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong budgeting and cost management skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and team members
- Basic Knowledge and usage of Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word)
