What are the responsibilities and job description for the HOUSE KEEPING position at DAYS INN & SUITES?

- Makes, confirms and cancels reservations via telephone, computer and or in person.
- Answers and routes internal and external phone calls in an articulate, friendly manner using prescribed procedures.
- Greets guests, registers, issues room keys, assigns rooms and sets wake up calls as requested in an efficient, warm and friendly manner.
- Deposits guests' valuables in hotel safe or safe deposit box.
- Posts charges such as room, food, or telephone, to ledger and, makes deposits according to cash handling procedures.
- Accurately checks out guests, secure payment, verifying and adjusting billing as needed, provide receipts and communicates departures with housekeepingstaff.
- Provide guests with room and hotel information, directions, amenities and local interests
- Maintains the shift-to-shift log accurately to ensure proper communication between shifts is maintained.
- Complete cashier and closing reports, counting the bank at the end of each shift securely
- Communicate any emergency, lost item to General Manager or Management Team
- Keep contingency lists in case of emergency and communicate any necessary messages
- Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the hotel lobby and frontdeskarea.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week

Experience:
- Housekeeping management: 1 year (Preferred)
