Math / CBI Instructor

General Description: The math instructor at Northmont High School will provide mathematics instructional activities which are consistent with the objectives of the assigned curriculum in particular, the MVCTC in general, and the approved academic content standards of Ohio. The instructor will direct the learning experiences of the students, including skill development, human relations, and leadership qualities which are necessary to obtain gainful employment. The instructor will report to the MVCTC Satellite Supervisor.

Qualifications:
1. Must meet all requirements governing teacher education and licensure
2. Must hold or qualify for a valid high school mathematics license and preferably a CBI license or attain CBI licensure within three years
3. Possess good knowledge of content, curriculum, methods, materials, and equipment of instructional specialty to which assigned
4. Ability to plan and implement lessons based on program and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students to whom assigned
5. Ability to serve as a mentor to a group of students and to closely monitor attendance, academics, behavior, progress, etc. for that group of students
6. Ability to move about in classroom/lab to check student work and monitor behavior
7. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers, and parents
8. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
9. Possess excellent human relations skills and serve as a role model for students
10. Proven ability to deliver effective online instruction

Length of Contract: 185 days

Starting Date: 2025-26 school year

Salary: Per teacher salary schedule
