The corporate director of strategic marketing is responsible for shaping and leading the implementation of the system’s marketing strategy and plans to grow our market and brand position in a highly competitive children’s hospital market. This position leads the development of service line market growth plans, brand, and content strategy as well as marketing and consumer engagement technologies aimed at strengthening discoverability, connection, and relevant and timely access to Dayton Children’s services.
The corporate director must work collaboratively with administrative and physician service line leadership to develop and promote winning value proposition aimed at meeting consumer’s needs for access and experience all while strengthening affinity for the Dayton Children’s brand. The corporate director oversees the marketing team of service marketing managers, physician relations, social media and content professionals, creative services, and marketing technologists. The position is responsible for assuring processes for prioritizing and managing work, assessing market readiness of services, and standardizing the planning and accountability processes.
The ideal candidate will be an established leader in strategic marketing with some experience in marketing for a health system. He/she will have broad-based experience in developing and deploying brand and marketing strategies across multiple markets with a deep understanding of the needs of today’s health care consumers. A proven track record utilizing consumer insight, journey mapping, segmentation, data analytics, direct-to-consumer marketing approaches, CRM tools and well as web and digital platforms is essential for success in this role.

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field from an accredited program required Master’s degree in business administration or health care management from an accredited program preferred.
Experience
10 years of progressively responsible experience in marketing strategy development and deployment required
Leadership responsibility for all aspects of marketing with some healthcare experience is required
Strong knowledge of digital platforms and emerging digital technologies is required
Working knowledge of CRM systems and direct marketing methods is required
Marketing experience outside the healthcare industry where marketing practices are more mature preferred.
