The Senior Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for activities associated with credentialing or recredentialing providers, including processing provider applications and reapplications, training team members on the credentialing / privileging processes, participating in payer audits, and preparing reports. He / she will serve as a liaison for Partners for Kids and the Payer Enrollment Department regarding credentialing of providers. The Senior Credentialing Coordinator maintains the confidentiality of all Professional Staff / APP information. He / she assists in managing the flow of information between the Professional Staff team, Credentials Committee, Professional Staff Leadership and the Chief Medical Officer.
The Senior Credentialing Coordinator applies the knowledge of standards, laws, regulations, Professional Staff Bylaws and Policies to the credentialing and privileging of professional staff and APPs and ensures compliance with these standards. He / she facilitates the flow of information throughout the credentialing process and oversees the maintenance of related documents to credentialing and privileging. The Senior Credentialing Coordinator serves as co-system administrator for the credentialing database and a resource to others. He / she will ensure that all expirables are monitored and renewed prior to expiration.
