Revenue Accounting Dentention Specialists are responsible for determining and applying detention charges .
- Analyze freight bills to determine appropriate detention charges
- Utilize tools for calculation of detention while adhering to rules and contracts
- Respond to customer disputes on detention charge calculation
- Audit accounts and resolve problems
- Respond to internal and external customer’s inquiries via phone or email
- Continuously improve processes
- 2 years of related accounting, logistics or transportation experience
- Associates Degree in Accounting is a plus, but not required
- Experience in transportation highly recommended, but not required
- Strong organization skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork, initiative, and customer service skills
- Ability to identify and manage project and continuous improvement initiatives
