Job Overview:
This role is responsible for assisting customers with inquiries, including freight pickup requests, rate quotes, hot shipments, shipment tracing, and appointments. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as experience working in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Service Center Manager and Account Managers by taking and delivering messages, as well as providing assistance to Drivers.
- Prepare bills of lading and delivery receipts, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely completion.
- Maintain excellent communication with external and internal customers, as well as interline companies, to resolve any issues or concerns.
- May assist with payroll, data entry, freight reports, driver collect reports, billing, and filing, requiring strong organizational and time management skills.
Required Qualifications:
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Programs, with proficiency in keyboarding and basic computer applications.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, handling a high volume of phone calls, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Licenses/Certifications: Legally eligible to work in the United States, at least 18 years old, and fluent in English.
