Overview
*This is not a remote position.
The Freight Claims Specialist is the primary contact for the processing and management of freight/OS&D claims.
Responsibilities
- Investigation and determination of new claims
- Determine liability against the responsible party
- Continually work with Claims Supervisor on accounts with a high claim ratio
- Assist with Admin duties when he/she is out of the office
- Understands and applies various computer software programs (Microsoft Office) to automate manual processes
- Continually improve processes
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Possess good written and oral communication skills
- Experience in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Teams
- Strong attention to detail and processes
- Experience with or knowledge of OS&D (Over, Short and Damaged) is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
